Asharqia Chamber sends its warmest regards and informs you that it has received a letter from the Saudi Chambers Union numbered (45103476) dated (2/8/1445 AH). This letter refers to a letter from the Federation of Chambers of the Gulf Cooperation Council Countries numbered (GCC/SG/36) dated (8/2/2024 AD), based on the information received from the Gulf Standardization Organization regarding the dissemination of a questionnaire on the challenges facing the industrial and commercial sectors related to mutual recognition systems for conformity certificates and quality marks.
The questionnaire aims to understand the reality of the challenges facing the industrial and commercial sectors, whether they are technical challenges or non-tariff barriers that hinder the implementation of the Gulf Customs Union Agreement in terms of conformity certificate requirements and quality marks. These challenges affect the completion of the Gulf Customs Union and the mechanisms of the common Gulf market, thereby helping to enhance the flow of goods and products between member states efficiently and effectively.
